JAMB 2026 Registration Opening And Closing Date

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the scheduled registration time for the 2026 candidates.

The 2026 Jamb registration exercises was set to start on Monday, January 19, 2026 and end on Saturday, April 16, 2026.

Staying ahead of these deadlines is crucial, as JAMB rarely grants extensions.

UTME e-PIN Vending:
Start; January 19, 2026
Close; February 26, 2026

Main UTME Registration:
Start; January 26, 2026
Close; February 28, 2026

Direct Entry (DE) Registration:
Start; March 2, 2026
Close; April 25, 2026

Mock-UTME (Optional):
Start; March 28, 2026
Close; April 10, 2026

Main UTME Examination:
Start; April 16, 2026
Close; April 25, 2026

The cost of the form depends on whether you choose to write the optional Mock-UTME:

Get Your NIN Ready:
Your National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory. Ensure the name on your NIN matches the name you intend to use for JAMB.
Generate Your Profile Code:
Send your NIN to 55019 or 66019 via SMS. Use the format: NIN 12345678901 (replace the numbers with your actual NIN). You will receive a 10-digit Profile Code.
Purchase your e-PIN:
Take your Profile Code to any participating bank, POS, or online payment platform to buy your registration e-PIN.
Visit an Accredited CBT Center:
Complete your biometrics and data entry at a JAMB-approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) Center. Do not register at a regular cybercafe, as they are not authorized.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026. Underage candidates may face additional scrutiny or waivers.
Official Novel: The reading text for the 2026 UTME is mandatory for all candidates.
Email Address: You must have a personal, functional email address to receive updates from JAMB.

Register Early: Avoid the "last-minute rush" in the final week of February when servers are often congested.
Data Accuracy: JAMB will rely solely on data from NIMC. Correct any discrepancies in your NIN (name or date of birth) before starting the JAMB process.
